Face-value ticketing platform Twickets is to launch in the US this autumn.
The company’s US home page has launched at www.twicketsusa.com and is inviting fans to sign up with more details to be revealed over the coming months. The US will become Twickets’ third territory, joining the UK and Australia, with promotional partnerships to be announced soon.
“When it comes to the secondary ticketing market, the US and the UK share similar challenges, so we’re thrilled with this opportunity to now bring Twickets to the US, where I think most people have forgotten what it’s like to purchase a face-value ticket,” said Twickets founder and entrepreneur Richard Davies. “Helping fans pay the fair price to see their favorite shows is what drives me and the team every day, and our launch in the US is a major step in ensuring that fans everywhere have access to face-value tickets to live music events by the artists they love.”
Launched in the UK in February 2015, Twickets has partnered with some of the world’s biggest artists, including Adele on her Wembley Finale shows, Ed Sheeran on his UK tour dates, and recently with Queen + Adam Lambert on their UK and Ireland tour.
In May 2017, Twickets expanded to Australia in partnership with Ed Sheeran, who used his website and social media to direct fans to a specifically created landing page where fans could sign up for email alerts from Twickets once tickets became available. Twickets also partnered with Stormzy, Rag’N’Bone Man, Sigur Ros, DJ Shadow and Laura Marling, and teamed up with Frontier Touring, one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest concert promoters.
