We work with a champion of unsigned and independent music called “Music Crowns” who offer a variety of opportunities and advice for the unsigned music scene.
On their site you will find legal advice, merchandise opportunities, news and reviews and other musical opportunities.
Their motto is “Real People, Real Music, Real Talent” and they promote bands and artists to an enormous social media presence via Facebook and Twitter.
Initially an online competition in the rock, pop and urban categories, Music Crowns has accumulated over 30 music industry names as judges including Skin from Skunk Anansie, Montell Jordan, Jamal “SB.TV” Edwards, Cas Haley, Samantha Mumba, Abz from 5IVE and Ali Campbell of UB40 fame.
Noticeable names that have participated from today’s music scene include Loveable Rogues, Scarlett’s Roses, Ana Free, Ruth Brown, Leo LeVox and Missing Andy – all finalists since its inception.
The concept has also seen names with famous relations such as Alize Levy (daughter of Barrington Levy), Gareth Icke (son of David Icke) and Tanay Jackson (cousin of Michael Jackson).
The nurturing of young and gifted talent is something our London recording studio holds dear to our hearts so scouting and support systems like Music Crowns are an important factor in the growth of these acts. What’s more they offer free services and advice (although priority promotion is available). We implore that you take a look and use them to gain exposure as marketing and PR is an enormously important aspect of any artist’s career with the way that music has gone in the digital era.
A great deal of what we preach via our London Artist Development programme holds true with the Music Crowns concept. It’s for this reason we are a perfect amalgamation of youth and experience and can see an artist, in simple terms, get from A to B, ‘A’ being found and ‘B’ being the end goal of a record deal and an introduction to the mainstream music industry.
